Zuzu Galova

Zuzu Galova

We’re starting to see a turnover of art on the Bondi Art Wall. Judging by all newly prepared space there’s quite a few new works to come. Exciting (although there are a couple that we will miss)!

Zuzu, who is originally from Slovakia, was working on one of the first of this first batch of new works when we met her.

“I've been lucky enough to call Bondi home for the past few years. I love how connected the community is, especially around the ocean. Swimming, surfing, and creating art here have all become a big part of my life.

My favourite way to start the day is with an ocean swim or surf, followed by a chai latte with my friends.

One of the things I love most about Bondi is the incredible community of women in the water. That sense of support and belonging was a big inspiration behind my mural.”

Check out more of Zuzu’s work HERE.

As part of this year’s Bondi Festival there will be a live painting of a new artwork by muralist Cecilia Carraro. That’s happening on 4 July from 11am to 3pm.
