It’s so much fun people who you live more or less cheek by jowl with but have possibly never met. You can meet people who started out in other parts of the world.

“I love starting my day with a run along the beach, followed by a dip in the ocean. It does wonders for my nervous system, and I always feel so energised afterwards. On quieter mornings, I’ll take a walk along the promenade with my son Max and our little pooch, Millie.

I’m originally from the far north-west of Ireland, near Malin Head—a magical, picturesque place so striking that Star Wars: The Last Jedi was filmed there.

I’ve been living in Australia for eight years now. I started out in Melbourne, but when I visited friends in Bondi, I completely fell in love with it. I now live in North Bondi and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a beautiful, friendly community. It’s familiar, welcoming, and feels so much like home. We all look out for one another, and I never feel lonely because there’s always someone to call if I’m having a tough day.

Even though I’m far from Ireland, I feel lucky to be able to walk down to Bondi Beach every day. The ocean gives me so much energy, and living by the coast reminds me of home in all the best ways.”
