Bondi’s various festivals have been coming thick and fast lately. We went along to the launch of the Head On Photo Festival at the Pavilion last Friday. We met Kasane, the artist who created Sea of Fortune that was a part of this year’s Sculpture by the Sea exhibition. It was a great opportunity to speak to the artist directly about her work which had prime position in the boot between the Icebergs and Marks Park.
Sea of Fortune alludes to Indra’s Net, a metaphor for the interconnectedness of all things, weaveing “a rich tapestry of shared human experience, echoing the ancient Buddhist concept …”
