There’s been a spate of confirmed great white shark sightings recently. They were mostly following large schools of fish or 'bait balls' into the bay. The Bondi shark alarm was been triggered four days in a row and prompted Waverley Council lifeguards to temporarily close the beach to all.

Shark spotting drones have been put to use but it seems to have quietened down and the alarm hasn’t sounded since June 26th.

Swimmers and surfers (some very grumpy about being kept out of the water) are now back out in force.
