Pop Up Art Show and Garage Sale
Sam and Wil have lived in this building at 46 Lamrock Avenue for over 30 years. It is one of three buildings that are being demolished to make way for a large new development of luxury apartments. The end of an era and Bondi’s loss.
Sam had the idea of leaving her home of over 30 years with a pop-up art show and garage sale. Given that the building has been a hub of the creative arts for all the time she has lived there it seemed fitting. She enlisted artist/musician Greg Perano to help with the curation and before they knew it they had a wildly popular art happening showing a long list of local artists that was supposed to be on for the one weekend just past. By popular demand they are doing it all again next weekend, the 8th and 9th.
The show includes works by Hugh Stewart, David Art Wales, Greg Perano, Abby Vick, Hannah Jade Phillips, Samantha Gibson, Richard Simpkins and many more who work in a variety of mediums including sculpture painting, collage, photography, printed t shirts and film.
