There were a few things that drew us to Kieran last Saturday. Any guesses?
First off it was the daffodil cap, followed by the Free Hugs T Shirt he was wearing.
Kieran was wearing the cap to raise awareness for the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day “People commit to swimming in cold water and raising money for cancer research. A cracking cause”. The T Shirt is an old favourite of his and it happens to come from the REMO online store (and with a great story. See HERE).
“My Bondi story centres around ocean swimming. I've been helping an ocean swim programme for years where participants get professional coaching to complete a goal ocean swim event in return for raising money funding for early stage cancer researchers. It's very inclusive and participants are encouraged at all levels. Welcoming newbies to the ocean, we swim at Bondi all through summer to train for the Bondi rough water. We also run an autumn programme out of the incredibly supportive Bondi Surf club. Legends all. They supply us with water safety and support every week. Regos will open soon for this summer. Check it out at Cantoo.”
Remo couldn’t help but shove a book into Kieran’s hand for the photo!
